New Digimon Adventure 02 movie launches in Japan on October 27th

The next film for the Digimon Adventure 02 anime, Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning, will premiere in Japanese theaters on October 27, as announced by the staff. The announcement was accompanied by a promotional video and images featuring the evolution song "Brave Heart" and the original opening song "Target Akai Shougeki."





The event Digi Fes 2023 will take place on July 30 at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel Stellar Ball. The film's story is set in February 2012, following the events of Digimon Adventure tri. and Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna. The character visuals depict the main characters at 20 years old.

New additions to the cast include Megumi Ogata as Rui Ōwada and Rie Kugimiya as Ukkomon. Returning cast members are Fukujurō Katayama, Junko Noda, Arthur Lounsbery, Naozumi Takahashi, Ayaka Asai, Kouichi Toochika, Yoshitaka Yamaya, Megumi Urawa, Junya Enoki, Miwa Matsumoto, M.A.O, and Yuka Tokumitsu.

Director Tomohisa Taguchi, screenwriter Akatsuki Yamatoya, animation studio Yumeta Company, and production company Toei Animation return from Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna. The new film focuses on the characters from Digimon Adventure 02, particularly Daisuke and his friends.
