The next Doraemon movie will be released in 2026 under the title Doraemon: Shin Nobita no Kaitei Kiganjō (engl. Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's New Undersea Kigan Castle). It is a reinterpretation of the original film released in 1983, which is one of the most famous works of the series.

The director is Tetsuo Yajima, who has been involved in numerous previous Doraemon productions, including "Doraemon: Nobita's New Great Adventure into the Underworld" and "Doraemon: Nobita's Earth Symphony". The screenplay is by Isao Murayama, who also has many years of experience with the series.

A teaser visual and a teaser trailer were released for the first time. The key visual shows the main characters in front of a clear water surface, accompanied by the slogan "10,000 meters under the sea. The earth still holds undiscovered worlds". The trailer offers a glimpse into an impressive underwater world with mysterious creatures and glowing cities in the depths.

The film marks the 45th work in the feature film series and continues the tradition of retelling popular stories from the series in modern adaptations.
