New Film Clip and Novel Bonuses Unveiled for "The Irregular at Magic High School" Movie

On the occasion of "Yotsuba Day" on April 28, a new clip from the film "The Irregular at Magic High School The Movie: Yotsuba Succession Arc" was released. The clip shows Miyuki Shiba thoughtfully holding an invitation from the Yotsuba family. She is aware that she could be designated as the next head of the family, but struggles with the fate of having to enter into a politically arranged marriage. In this emotional moment, she speaks to a reflection of herself.

The film premieres in Japanese theaters on May 8, 2026. As the first bonus gift for moviegoers, limited mini-shikishi cards featuring illustrations by Kana Ishida in three different designs will be available starting from the opening day.

A special highlight is the novel bonuses for the first four weeks of the film's run, written by original author Tsutomu Sato. In the first week, the work "The irregular at magic high school: UFO Interception" (Japanese: Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: UFO Geigeki) will be distributed. The accompanying title illustration has also been revealed. The story describes how Tatsuya Shiba receives a report from Mitsugu Ichijō about an unidentified flying object and subsequently sets out to intercept it.

Furthermore, panel discussions are planned for May 16, 2026, at the Yokohama Burg 13, Kawasaki Cinecittà, and Shinjuku Wald 9 theaters. Participating voice actors include Saori Hayami (Miyuki), Chiwa Saito (Maya), as well as Daisuke Ono (Katsushige) and Ai Kayano (Yūka) at various venues.
