Kadokawa and TROYCA have released new image materials for their joint anime project titled "Overtake!" The companies also announced plans for an event on October 8 (Gotemba Day), where the first two episodes of the anime will be screened. The official premiere of the series is set to take place later the same month.



"Overtake!" delves into the world of Formula 4 racing (F4). The story follows Kōya Madoka, a freelance photographer stuck in a creative slump. A job takes him to Fuji International Speedway, where he meets high school F4 racer Haruka Asahina. This chance encounter reignites Kōya's passion, and he begins supporting Haruka and the youth team "Komaki Motors" as they chase their dreams.

Anan Furuya and Katsuyuki Konishi have been cast in the lead roles as Haruka Asahina and Kōya Madoka, respectively. Ei Aoki is directing, Ayumi Sekine is in charge of the series scripts, and Masako Matsumoto is adapting the original character designs for animation. Kana Utatane will compose the music.
