A new key visual for the upcoming anime special episodes has been released. The plot focuses on Kokorowahime, an inventive friend of the deity Sakuna, who is also active as a writer. In the story, she leaves her usual field and instead dedicates herself to the agricultural practice of rice cultivation.

The released illustration shows Kokorowa doing field work, while Sakuna and other companions observe the events.

Several involved parties also commented on the project. The responsible director Masayuki Yoshihara referred to the narrative perspective of the main character, her personal development, as well as new characters and settings. The original development studio Edelweiss expressed delight at the adaptation of the novel and emphasized the portrayal of everyday life and agricultural activities. Keiji Ando, who contributed to the story, expressed his anticipation for the visual realization of the story set on the island of Hinoe.
