New image material for the anime series [i]The Apothecary Diaries[/i] released

Regarding the series The Apothecary Diaries (jap. Kusuriya no Hitorigoto), a new still image and additional video material have been released.

The published image shows the character Renji in full battle attire as the commander of the imperial guard unit. With his hair tied up, the red hair ornament as a symbol of the ruling family, and dark blue armor, he gazes resolutely into the distance. The image carries the accompanying text: "And the morning breaks." The release took place ahead of the episode "The Imperial Guard."

The video material shows Renji's decision-making and the preparations for an attack on a fortress.

The Apothecary Diaries tells the story of Maomao, the daughter of an apothecary with a particular interest in poisons and remedies, who unravels mysterious occurrences in the imperial palace. Maomao is voiced by Yuki Aoi, Renji by Takeo Otsuka.
