Nine new cast members, performers of the theme song, and a new image for the anime adaptation of the manga Dead Mount Death Play were revealed on Friday on the series' official website. The new cast members include Takuya Eguchi, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Atsumi Tanezaki, Misato Fukuen, Kazuhiro Yamaji, Yō Taichi, Rumi Okubo, Ikumi Hasegawa, and Haruka Shiraishi. Sou performs the opening song "Nero," and Inori Minase performs the ending song "Aolite."



The series, premiering in April, stars Yuki Sakakihara, Inori Minase, and Yūma Uchida in the lead roles. Manabu Ono directs the series and is also responsible for its scripts.

The manga's story revolves around a battle between a legendary hero and a necromancer death god, which ends with an unexpected twist involving the magic of reincarnation. Ryohgo Narita and Shinta Fujimoto developed the ongoing manga in 2017 for Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine.
