New insights into Sakamoto Days: second section with key visual and cast extension unveiled

The central motif for the second story arc of the action-comedy series SAKAMOTO DAYS by Yuto Suzuki has been released. The image brings together the protagonists Sakamoto, Shin, and Lu with members of the organization ORDER, as well as the mysterious antagonists X, Kashima, and the newly announced Gaku, voiced by Kōki Uchiyama (Tokyo Revengers).

Gaku, a key figure in X's circle, stands out with overwhelming combat prowess—his mere presence is enough to destabilize the eastern section of the assassin eradication unit. Uchiyama emphasized in a statement how important it was for him to stay faithful to the manga's source material: "The action-packed scenes are undoubtedly a highlight, but the characters' quirky dialogues also deserve attention."

The second half of the season, set to air starting July 2025, delves deeper into the clash between Sakamoto's everyday life as a shop owner and his past as an elite assassin. The key visual symbolizes this contrast through dynamic poses and the inclusion of iconic props like Sakamoto's ballpoint pen, which becomes a weapon in battle.
