For the upcoming TV series Gachiakuta – based on the manga by Ura Na Kei and Entō Hideyoshi – a distinctive key visual as well as a short video have now been released. The visuals feature the character Engine, designed by character designer and Chief Animation Director Satoru Ishino. With a casually slung umbrella and the iconic catchphrase „O-sōji sukkā!“ („Time for cleaning!“), he embodies the unconventional aesthetic of the series.

The plot revolves around the orphan boy Rudo, who grows up in a slum city inhabited by descendants of former criminals. In a world marked by social injustice, an action-packed struggle for survival unfolds, intertwining Rudo’s fate with mysterious powers.

In addition to the visual details – including logos in Latin script and the fictional language Gachiakuta-go – the team highlights the creative collaboration: Entō Hideyoshi is responsible for the graphic elements, while the short video reinterprets key scenes and dialogues from the source material.

The direction is handled by Fumihiko Suganuma (My Hero Academia), supported by screenwriter Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan). The animation is produced by Studio Bones, known for precise action sequences. The voice cast includes Aoi Ichikawa (Rudo), Katsuyuki Konishi (Engine), Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Zanka), and Yumiri Hanamori (Riyo).

An exact release date for the series has yet to be announced, but a broadcast starting in July is planned. Further updates on the plot or accompanying projects are expected in the coming weeks.
