First visual materials have been released for the planned TV anime "Okiraku Ryōshu no Tanoshii Ryōchi Bōei ~Seisan-kei Majutsu de Na mo Naki Mura o Saikyō no Jōsai Toshi ni~" (English title: The Easygoing Lord's Enjoyable Territory Defense). The production is based on the light novel series by Sō Akaike.
The plot of the series follows Van, the fourth son of a noble family, who was reborn in a fantasy world. Although he was considered a prodigy in his youth, his magical talent in production magic proved to be socially unrecognized. Due to these abilities, he is cast out from his family and takes over the rule of a remote village.
The released image material shows the protagonist using his production magic abilities, with which he can create various items and weapons. A promotional video also reveals first audio samples of the character voices.
The voice acting is done by Yumi Uchiyama in the role of Van. Other voice actors are M・A・O as Til, his personal maid, and Mariya Ise as Kamushin, a character with great loyalty towards the protagonist.
On the occasion of the release of the promotional materials, a special campaign is starting, in which meat gifts are being raffled. This refers to the motif of the carnival that frequently appears in the work.
The original literary adaptation is published by Kōdansha, while an illustrated version is by Maro Aoi. The story describes how the once insignificant village develops into a significant city through Van's unique abilities.
