The story follows the protagonist Rufus, who awakens after a 200-year imprisonment. As a former threat, he is unexpectedly summoned as a "hero" against demonic forces. The trailer showcases key scenes of his reunion with the strategist Dina as well as confrontations with former allies, the "Twelve Heavenly Warriors".

The opening theme Level wo Agete Butsuri de Naguru (en. Level Up and Strike Physically) is performed by the band Kishidan and The Akeboshi Rockets. Excerpts of the energetic rock piece are included in the trailer and emphasize the dynamic battle sequences.
