As announced in the latest issue of Shonen Sunday magazine, a sequel anime to Rumiko Takahashi's hit manga Inu Yasha is set to be released this coming fall. Titled Inu Yasha Kanketsu-hen, it will conclude the story and adapt volumes 36 to 56 of the original manga into anime.
The first anime series ended in 2004 after 167 episodes, while the manga continued until June 2008.
