New Main Trailer for 'Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Simple' Reveals OP and ED Songs and Additional Voice Actors

A new main trailer has been released for the upcoming anime television series 'Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Simple' (original title: 'Kanan-sama wa Akumade Choroi'). This trailer features, for the first time, excerpts of the opening theme 'Hatsukoi Moment' by Faulieu and the ending theme 'Pop-Snack-Junk na HUNNY' by Aogiri High School. Alongside the video, a new visual was revealed just before the broadcast start, showing the lovestruck, blushing protagonist Kanan. A GIF version of the image is also available on the series' official X account, in which Kanan's tail moves.

Simultaneously, the production team announced four additional voice actors joining the existing main cast. Accordingly, Kanan's father Beelzebub will be voiced by Takaya Kuroda. Kanan's homeroom teacher Yuriko Yurino will be played by Yui Ogura, while Ayana Taketatsu will voice Yoji Kyogi's teacher Yui Rurikawa. The school nurse Ryoko Reizen will be portrayed by Yu Kobayashi. Initial comments on their roles are also available.

The romance with comedic elements revolves around high school student Yoji Kyogi and the young gourmet demon Kanan, who has descended to the human world to devour sweet, youthful souls. The plot unfolds when Kanan makes a love contract with Yoji. The underlying manga series by nonco has been serialized in Kodansha's 'Weekly Shōnen Magazine' since 2022.

The anime's premiere is scheduled for April 4, 2026, at 25:00 (effectively April 5, 01:00) on Tokyo MX and BS11. Additional broadcasters now also include AT-X and HTB. Numerous streaming services such as dAnime Store, U-NEXT, Abema TV, and Prime Video will offer the title simultaneously with the TV broadcast or as a stream.

Production is handled by Studio KAI, with Yasushi Muroya directing. Series composition is by Rintaro Ikeda, while character design is by Mikari Minagawa. At the AnimeJapan 2026 fair, taking place in Tokyo from March 28 to 29, a stage event with voice actors Aoi Koga (Kanan), Seiichiro Yamashita (Yoji), Sayumi Suzushiro (Jeanne), Maki Kawase (Ami), and Ayaka Nanase (Nadeshiko) is planned for March 28 at the King Records booth.
