New material for anime adaptation #Compass 2.0 (combat strategy analysis system) unveiled

Within the framework of AnimeJapan 2025, updated visual and auditory insights into the upcoming series were presented. The second key visual showcases the ambivalent group of heroes surrounding the mysterious Thirteen and the inexperienced player Jin, surrounded by iconic symbols of the dystopian setting. A second trailer, also released, combines dynamic action scenes with initial dialogues hinting at interpersonal conflicts.

The non-credit version of the opening song Hakudō ("Pulsation"), performed by Nana Mizuki, emphasizes the high-energy atmosphere of the series. The composition is by Giga in collaboration with Shōta Kemu (known as Kemu), whose electronic-heavy sound rhythmically complements the fast-paced editing of the trailer.

Based on the mobile game of the same name, which revolves around strategic real-time battles in urban arenas, director Hitoshi Nanba (Fate/Grand Order) focuses on a mix of visual intensity and character-driven drama. The animation studio Lay-duce (Fafner in the Azure) is responsible for the technical implementation, with an emphasis on fluid motion sequences and detailed backgrounds.

The series explores how young "heroes" in an algorithm-controlled world utilize their individual abilities to combat systemic injustices. Further insights, such as into side characters or plot developments, will be revealed gradually.
