New details have been revealed about the original anime project BULLET/BULLET, directed by Park Sung-hoo. Alongside a second main theme, once again composed by Takahiro Yoshimatsu – responsible for character design and animation – the cast has also been expanded with nine additional voice actors. Among the newly confirmed characters are eccentric assassins such as Yamada Country Club (voiced by Tenjin Hideki), Weeping Man (Yamashita Daiki), Emma from the Meat Processing Center (Aizawa Saya), Dark Kawaii Idol Ai (Iwahashi Yuka), Fighting Big Sister Mari (Matsui Akenami), Naomi Brilliant (Himeno Haruna), SSS (Ohtsuki Joichiro), Tsuyako and Silent Killer Lisa (both voiced by Ooi Marie), as well as Professor Chin (Sekiguchi Yugo).

These updates were first announced on June 22 during the GiGO EXPO ZERO in Tokyo. During a related panel discussion, voice actresses Inoue Marina (Gear) and Seto Asami (Noah) spoke alongside director Park Sung-hoo about the project, moderated by Tenjin Hideki.

Director Park explained that he aims to tell a story with BULLET/BULLET that explores the value of one's own perspective. He emphasized the importance of conveying serious themes in an accessible and entertaining way. Inoue Marina highlighted the project's versatility – ranging from action and car chases to family drama – and underscored the special significance of familial bonds for her character Gear. Seto Asami described the anime as thoughtful yet humorous and recommended paying attention to the individual motivations of the characters while watching.

The series will premiere on July 16 exclusively on Disney+ Star. It centers on the teenager Gear, who scrapes by as a retriever of stolen goods in a post-apocalyptic world until the hunted Noah asks for his help – an event that fundamentally changes his life. In addition to the series, two theatrical versions are planned: The Bullet Run Arc will debut on July 25, followed by the Bullet Climax Arc on August 15. Both films will be screened at venues including the Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo.
