New material for the anime series "Taiyō yori mo Mabushii Hoshi" (Brighter than the Sun) revealed

For the adaptation of Kazune Kawahara's manga "Taiyō yori mo Mabushii Hoshi", a key visual as well as a first preview video were presented. Additionally, further voice actors and the theme song were announced.

Cast and Music

The musical accompaniment for the opening sequence is provided by Motohiro Hata with the song "Stellar Days".

The key visual presents protagonist Sakae Iwata and her secret affection Shinkō Kamishiro at the center, surrounded by Hisui, Yōta, Miori, and Yūshin. The preview video combines dialogue excerpts of the characters with fragments of the theme song.

Plot Core

The story follows Sakae Iwata, whose first love for classmate Shinkō Kamishiro began in elementary school. While Shinkō develops into a popular teenager, Sakae sees herself as inconspicuous. A turning point occurs during the sports festival in the last year of middle school, which rekindles her buried feelings. The series explores self-discovery, youthful insecurities, and the complexity of first affection.
