New material for the second season of "Wand and Sword Wistoria" presented

New promotional materials have been released for the second season of the anime series "Wand and Sword Wistoria" (original title: Sho to Ken no Wistoria). The continuation of the fantasy action story is scheduled for April 2026.

The released material includes a second teaser motif (key visual) as well as an accompanying teaser trailer.

The motif shows the protagonist Will with a thoughtful expression in front of a monumental tower. The image caption reads "Zutto, kimi no soba ni――" ("Forever by your side――").

The trailer offers first moving scenes and depicts both Will and his known classmates from the magic academy as well as new threats: monsters ravaging a city.

A significant new addition to the production team is Tatsuya Yoshihara, who is responsible as the chief director for the second season. Yoshihara was most recently active as the director for the theatrical film "Chainsaw Man: The Reze Arc". The direction of individual episodes is taken over by Hideaki Nakano.

The animation production is once again in the hands of the studios BN Pictures and Actas. Further established team members are returning, including character designer Sayaka Ono and composer Yuki Hayashi.

The series is based on a manga by Fujino Omori (author of "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?") and Kiyoto Aoi. It tells the story of the boy Will, who was born in a magic-dominated world without magical abilities. Instead, he trains in the use of a sword to realize his dream of becoming a great magician and to be admitted to the famous magic academy.
