The creators of the anime television series "Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!" have announced that the series' opening song will be "Shunpatsuteki ni Koi Shiyō" (roughly "Let's Fall in Love Spontaneously"). It is a collaboration between the two artists Yasuyuki Okamura and Kento Nakajima. Simultaneously with the announcement, a main promotional video was released, showcasing the song for the first time.

The collaboration came about after Okamura personally approached Nakajima. Okamura is responsible for the lyrics, composition, and arrangement and is also heard as the vocalist. He commented on the piece: "It feels as if a melody I dreamed of and real encounters later come together. This work was born in such a serendipity." He was referring to a previous joint event at the "MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2025."

Nakajima added: "The demo I received had a melody that made me want to dance immediately and reminded me of Okamura's carefree performance on music shows. I had a lot of fun recording it." For the song's release, manga artist Syundei also provided exclusive artist images of Okamura and Nakajima as well as the cover for the digital single.

The anime adaptation of Syundei's BL comedy (Boys Love) of the same name begins on April 1, 2026, on Japanese television. The main roles are voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi as the shy high school student Okuto Nakamura and Yuki Sakakihara as his crush Aiki Hirose. The series is directed by Aoi Umeki at Studio Drive.

Internationally, the anime will be streamed by Crunchyroll, among others.
