New opening theme for the anime "Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai" by Sexy Zone

The opening theme for the upcoming TV anime "Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai," based on the original work by Moe Morino, has been announced as a new song by Sexy Zone titled "Kimi no Sei." Along with the announcement, a promotional video and a key visual for the anime were also released.

The song "Kimi no Sei" by Sexy Zone is described as a track that reflects the romantic feelings of the characters Hotaru and Hananoi-kun. The video released alongside the announcement artistically portrays the evolving love between the characters. The members of Sexy Zone shared their excitement, stating that the song captures the excitement, heart-wrenching moments, and warmth of the story, and that they look forward to the anime's broadcast, especially since their song is a part of it.

The key visual depicts a lively scene with the main characters Hotaru and Hananoi-kun walking hand in hand along a path lined with cherry blossoms in full bloom. In the background, the characters Asami Hibiki, Shibamura Tsukiha, and Kurata Keigo are seen following them, showcasing their cheerful camaraderie. Additionally, Yaso Sohei is shown in a different uniform, glancing back as he walks in another direction, hinting at the complex relationships between the characters.

"Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai," which will air on TBS starting in April, tells the love story between high school student Hinase Hotaru, who has lived a life without romance, and the mysterious and attractive Hananoi-kun. The roles of Hotaru and Hananoi-kun are played by Kana Hanazawa and Chiaki Kobayashi, respectively.
