New Sergeant Keroro anime film production announced for 2026

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the anime debut of "Sergeant Keroro" (original title: Keroro Gunsō), a new theatrical film will be released in summer 2026. This marks the first film production for the series in 16 years.
The production is being carried out under the direction of Yūichi Fukuda, who is responsible for the screenplay and overall direction. Fukuda expressed great joy about his involvement in the project and hinted at prepared surprises for the audience. The direction is handled by Fumitoshi Oizaki, with character design by Satoshi Koike. The film is produced by BN Pictures.
