New short film anime series "Koupen-Chan" starts in April

The short film anime series "Koupen-chan" will air starting April 6. Along with this, a second trailer has been released, offering a glimpse into the charming world of the series.

The story revolves around Koupen-chan, an adorable baby emperor penguin who appreciates the little things in everyday life, and his friends. The series is based on a popular illustration series that was previously adapted into a game.

The voice actors have also been announced: Ayaka Saito will not only voice Koupen-chan but also the character "Yokoshima Enaga-san." Additional cast members include Kou Kunitachi as "Adult Penguin," Junji Majima as "Adelie-san," and Kazuya Ichijo as "The Explaining Polar Bear."

The author of the original series, Rurutea, expressed excitement about the anime adaptation: "The existing characters are voiced by the same actors, and the music also perfectly matches my vision. This anime is full of things I’ve wished for. I hope you enjoy Koupen-chan on your Sunday morning."
