New start date and preview for "My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: You're Next"

The latest installment in the "My Hero Academia" series, titled "My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: You're Next," is set to hit theaters on August 2. This announcement comes alongside the release of a new teaser image and trailer.

"My Hero Academia," created by Kohei Horikoshi, remains one of the most popular series. The new film, for which Horikoshi has taken the director's role and designed the characters, promises a completely new story. It is set in a society plagued by battles between heroes and villains, and escaped convicts from a prison for villains add to the chaos. The plot takes place shortly before the final showdown between Izuku Midoriya and his allies against their nemesis, leading to a major event that will shake the world.

The newly released teaser image features a massive golden statue of All Might, surrounded by the key phrase "Challenge the Symbol" and images of students from Class 1-A of U.A. High School's hero course, including Deku, Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, Ochaco Uraraka, and Tenya Ida. An ominous figure resembling All Might also appears, hinting at intense battles to come. The trailer further heightens anticipation by showcasing a fierce fight between All Might and All For One, the appearance of a mysterious, enormous fortress, and the emergence of a threatening new character.
