New trailer and additional cast for Arknights: Prelude to Dawn

As part of an event celebrating the three-and-a-half-year anniversary of the smartphone video game Arknights' release, Chinese developer Hypergryph unveiled a new trailer for the anime Arknights: Prelude to Dawn. The video introduces new voice actors. The anime adaptation is set to premiere on October 28.



Arknights is a free-to-play strategy game with elements of visual novels and tower defense, developed by Hypergryph and Studio Montagne and published by Yostar.

The world of Terra has long been plagued by natural disasters of unknown origin. As a result, most people now live in mobile cities designed and developed over the years to escape these catastrophes.

Where these disasters occur, a rare mineral called Originium emerges, possessing high energy capacity. The use of Originium as an energy source brought impressive technological progress and significant civilizational development. However, it also introduced an incurable disease known as Oripathy.

The infected gradually crystallize over time and become a new source of infection after death. In most countries, they are persecuted and used as forced laborers. The infected, subjected to systematic oppression, have organized a revolution. The pharmaceutical company from Rhodes Island, seeking a cure for the disease, is forced to take up arms to protect the population.
