The new anime series "The Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly" (original title: Mahō no Shimai Lulutto Lilly) has received an official release date. As announced by producers Bandai Namco Filmworks and Studio Pierrot, the series will premiere on April 4, 2026, on TOKYO MX and other channels. It is planned to air as a so-called split-cour, meaning the season will be divided into two blocks with a break in between. Alongside the release date, a second main trailer was released, introducing the series' ending theme for the first time. The song is titled "Calling" and is performed by the unit LuluttoLilly, the idol duo of the two main characters Lilly and Lulu.

Additionally, three more voice actor roles have been announced. Accordingly, Jun Kasama will voice the sisters' father, Keiichi Nonoyama. The mother Shio Nonoyama will be portrayed by Megumi Ōhara. Aya Endō will take on the role of Mari Hinoura, the mysterious owner of Café Dabudabu. The voice actors have already commented on their roles with anticipation; for example, Megumi Ōhara, who is a mother herself, emphasized that she can bring her life experience into the role of the concerned mother.

"The Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly" is the first completely new series in the long-running "Pierrot Magical Girl Series" in over 25 years. The story centers on the sisters Fuu and Rui, who receive magical powers separately from each other and can use them to transform into their ideal adult selves. As idols, they embark on separate paths without knowing that the other also possesses magical abilities. The series promises a mix of idol daily life, magical transformations, and the difficult task of keeping their big secret.
