New trailer and theme song for short film anime Eburei Host unveiled

For the upcoming comedy series "Eburei Host" (English: "Everyday Host"), which humorously portrays the lives of host club employees, a music video for the theme song has been released. The song "Eburei Host" combines fast-paced wordplay with typical industry jargon and is performed by the voice actors Hiro Shimono, Taku Yashiro, Tasuku Hatanaka, and Nobuhiko Okamoto as the in-universe band "Ebuhosu Players."

Composer Kiyoshi Kiryuin (Golden Bomber) created an earworm that stands out with its rapid-fire lyrics and choreographed karaoke-style scenes. The video also offers a first glimpse into the absurdly comical daily life of the fictional "Club One," including exaggerated character interactions and slapstick moments.

Based on the original work by Nimo Gotō, the anime promises a mix of niche humor and satirical social commentary. The short episodes are set to premiere in April 2024, appealing both to fans of Japanese nightlife culture and lovers of quirky comedy.
