New trailer for Aikatsu! 10th Story ~Mirai e no Starway~ revealed

The movie Aikatsu! 10th Story Mirai e no Starway has been updated with the release of a new promotional trailer. The approximately 90-second-long video offers a preview of the opening song "My Starway," performed by the idols Waka Kirishima, Fūri Uebana, and Yuna Ichikura. The film is set to release on January 20, 2023, and is directed by Ryuichi Kimura for Bandai Namco Pictures. Yoichi Kato serves as the screenwriter, while Hiroko Yaguchi acts as the character designer. The voice cast of the film includes Sumire Morohoshi, Asami Seto, Ayaka Ohashi, Azusa Tadokoro, Kiyono Yasuno, Manami Numakura, Minako Kotobuki, Shino Shimoji, Tomoyo Kurosawa, Yū Wakui, Yui Ishikawa, and Yuuna Mimura.



Aikatsu! 10th Story Mirai e no Starway is a commemorative film for the 10th anniversary of the Aikatsu! idol franchise and serves as a direct sequel to the movie Aikatsu! 10th Story Mirai e no Starway, which was released this July. The Aikatsu! series began as a card game in October 2012 and was adapted into a 178-episode anime that aired from 2012 to 2016, as well as 3 anime films. It was followed by additional anime series and films, including Aikatsu Stars!, Aikatsu Friends!, and Aikatsu on Parade!, along with numerous video games, manga adaptations, and light novels. The story revolves around Ichigo Hoshimiya, an ordinary high school girl who enrolls at the Starlight Academy idol training school to become an idol. She uses her Aikatsu cards to audition and encounters numerous rivals.
