On the official Kadokawa anime channel on YouTube, a new trailer for Mushikaburi-hime (Bibliophile Princess) was released on Monday. The video features a preview of the song "Prologue," performed by voice actress and singer Yuka Iguchi, which serves as the series' opening theme. The adaptation of the light novel series written by Yui and illustrated by Satsuki Shiina will air on Japanese television on October 6.

MadHouse is handling the adaptation. Tarou Iwasaki is directing, while Mitsutaka Hirota is in charge of the script, and Mizuka Takahashi is responsible for character design. As for the songs, Yuka Iguchi performs the series' opening theme titled "Prologue," and Kashitaro Itô will perform the ending theme titled "Kawabyōshi."
Yui began serializing the Mushikaburi-hime light novel series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in September 2015. The novel has been published by Ichijinsha with illustrations by Satsuki Shiina since July 2016 and currently spans 6 volumes.
