The new TV anime "Shin Samurai Den YAIBA," based on the original work by Gosho Aoyama, has revealed its cast, staff, promotional video, and visuals. Minami Takayama, who voiced the protagonist Yaiba Kurogane in the 1993 anime "Ken'yū Densetsu YAIBA," will reprise her role.

The new anime, titled "Shin Samurai Den YAIBA," was announced in May and is fully supervised by Aoyama. Alongside Takayama as Yaiba, the cast includes Manaka Iwami as Sayaka Mine, the daughter of a kendo dojo and the heroine, and Yoshimasa Hosoya as Takeshi Onimaru, Yaiba's archrival. The anime is produced by WIT STUDIO, known for their work on "Attack on Titan" and "SPY×FAMILY." Takahiro Hasui, who previously directed "Mob Psycho 100 III," serves as the director. Character design and animation are handled by Yoshimichi Kameda, who also directed "Mob Psycho 100." The music is composed by Yutaka Yamada.

The protagonist Yaiba Kurogane (voiced by Minami Takayama) is an unconventional, mischievous, and wild child who wields his sword with natural intuition and adaptability. In his quest to become a true samurai, he seeks challenges against stronger opponents.

The teaser video showcases intense sword fights between Yaiba and Onimaru, as well as Sayaka Mine. The teaser features Yaiba with the Raijin sword against the backdrop of Asakusa's Kaminarimon and the slogan, "I am the true samurai!"

"YAIBA" tells the story of Yaiba Kurogane, an unconventional young swordsman who trained in the jungle with his father. Upon returning to Japan, he encounters his rival Takeshi Onimaru. As their battles escalate in the pursuit of strength, the "legendary demon sword" awakens in response. The manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1988 to 1993, spanning a total of 24 volumes.
