The production of a new TV special titled „Kaguya-sama: Die Stufen zum Erwachsensein“ (Kaguya-sama: Love is War – The Stairway to Adulthood) has been officially confirmed. Alongside this, a key visual has been released, showing the main characters in front of a departing airplane, possibly emphasizing the symbolic transition into a new phase of life – perfectly in line with the theme of „Erwachsenwerden“ (coming of age).

The image focuses on the protagonists Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane alongside other members of the student council at Shuchi'in Academy. The composition appears to highlight the change and development of the characters, which is already generating excitement among fans.

The series „Kaguya-sama: Love is War,“ based on the manga by Aka Akasaka, follows two highly intelligent students who – driven by mutual affection and pride – engage in an amusing and emotional battle to confess their feelings. This mix of psychological cat-and-mouse games and romance has earned the series worldwide popularity.

From April to June 2025, a selection of special episodes titled „Kaguya-sama: Memories Selection“ was already aired. The new special will follow chronologically after this project. However, specific broadcast dates have not yet been announced.

The manga, published from 2015 to 2022, sold over 19 million copies. In addition to three successful anime seasons, the story was also adapted into a live-action film in 2021 starring Hiroshi Kamiya and Kanna Hashimoto in the lead roles. Fans can look forward to seeing what comes next.
