A new anime special of the popular series "Kaguya-sama: Love is War" (Japanese title: Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai) has been announced. The title is "Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Otona e no Kaidan" (English: "Kaguya-sama: Love is War – The Steps to Adulthood").

The special is set after the events of the main series. After the two main characters, student council president Miyuki Shirogane and vice president Kaguya Shinomiya, finally confessed their love and entered a relationship, several years have passed. The plot shows an adult Kaguya flipping through a photo album and reminiscing about her school days and the shared moments with Miyuki and the other members of the Shuchi'in student council.

The production remains in the trusted hands of Studio A-1 Pictures, and Mamoru Hatakeyama is once again directing. The entire main cast of the series returns.

The opening song of the special is a particular highlight. The title "Abunai Kioku" (approximately: "Dangerous Memories") is sung by Masayuki Suzuki, who has contributed all previous theme songs for the series. In a special duet, he is supported by Aoi Koga, the voice actress of the titular heroine Kaguya. Both artists expressed their excitement about this collaboration.
