The anime adaptation of the successful light novel series »Ryoumin 0-nin Start no Henkyou Ryoushu-sama« (The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects) has revealed further details shortly before its premiere. Alongside a second key visual and a third trailer, four new voice actors have been announced, completing the already star-studded ensemble.

With Tsuda Minami as Canis, a caring dog-human woman who oversees the small canine-like creatures in the Khasdex region, the series gains a warm-hearted voice. Terashima Takuma voices Richard, the first prince of the Kingdom of Sanserife—a clever and ambitious contender for the throne. Chiba Shoya takes on the role of the second prince Maizer, who ruthlessly pursues his own advantage, while Kumagai Kentaro will be heard as Zorg, the overprotective brother of the heroine Alna.

In their comments, the new voice actors expressed their enthusiasm: Tsuda emphasized the cuteness of the dog-people and looked forward to interactions with Klaus, voiced by Taito Ban. Terashima highlighted the complexity of Prince Richard, while Chiba pointed to Maizer's character development through his encounter with protagonist Dias. Kumagai affectionately described his Zorg as a "lovable good-for-nothing brother."

The plot of this slice-of-life fantasy anime revolves around the war hero Dias, who is rewarded by the king with a vast but completely empty frontier land. There, he meets the ghost-people girl Alna, who, with her ability to examine souls, shows him that the seemingly barren steppe is full of surprises. Together with a growing group of colorful allies, Dias begins to build his new kingdom.

The second key visual shows the hero with a massive battle axe, surrounded by his companions, conveying the determined mood of the series. The third promo video offers glimpses into the daily lives of the characters as well as their combat readiness, and for the first time, features excerpts of the ending song »Hoshifuru Yoru no Yakusoku« (The Promise of the Starry Night) by Hana.

The anime will premiere on July 10, 2026, on TOKYO MX, followed by MBS, BS Asahi, and AT-X. A week earlier, starting July 3, the series will be streamed exclusively and in advance on Prime Video. The opening theme will be performed by the Japanese-Korean band CROWN HEAD with the song »Wonder.«

Alongside the announcements, giveaways have started on the anime's official X account, offering prizes such as signed color boards from the new voice actors and Amazon gift cards. As a special prize, there is also a chance to win a Nintendo Switch 2.

The series is produced by animation studio42 under the direction of Kenichi Imaizumi. Kunihiko Okada is responsible for the series composition, and the character design is by Keiichi Tsuboyama.
