New Voices for Anime Series: Four Voice Actors Confirmed for "An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess"

For the upcoming anime adaptation of the light novel series "An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess" (Japanese title: Akuyaku Reijō to Koshōnin no Kansatsu Kiroku), four new voice actors for central roles have been announced. The series tells the story from the perspective of Cecil, who documents his fiancée Bertia's self-portrayal as a classic villainess.

The cast includes established and emerging talents from the Japanese voice acting industry:

- Sean Tarkoin Alfasta is voiced by Ayumu Murase. Murase, known for his high, androgynous voice, regularly lends his voice to young male characters. Among his most famous roles are Shoyo Hinata in Haikyu!! and Iruma Suzuki in Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun. In the series, he portrays the second prince and younger brother of the protagonist Cecil.

- Ayaka Ōhashi takes on the role of Joanna Kelzwollen, a noblewoman and former potential fiancée for Cecil. Ōhashi is active both as a voice actress and singer. She made her debut as a main role in 2012 as Fleur Blanc in Eureka Seven AO and is known, among others, as Ran Shibuki in Aikatsu! and Sāya Yamabuki in BanG Dream!

- Shun Horie provides the voice for Nelt Klam, a reclusive, research-oriented member of the student council. The award-winning voice actor, who won the Seiyu Award for Best New Male Actor in 2018, is known for his roles such as Kyotaro Ichikawa in The Dangers in My Heart and Kazuya Kinoshita in Rent-A-Girlfriend.

- Silica Runea, the caring childhood friend of Nelt, is voiced by Iori Saeki. Saeki began her career as a singer-songwriter under the name NU-KO before becoming a voice actress. She is the voice of King Halo in Umamusume: Pretty Derby and Ashley in Lapis Re:Lights.

About the Series and Further Distribution

The plot of the series is based on the light novel of the same name. It follows Cecil, who documents the often dramatic and amusing attempts of his fiancée Bertia to live the stereotypical life of a "villainess" from romantic stories in her fantasy world.

Production has begun introducing the new characters to the public. Corresponding introduction videos have been released, showcasing the character designs and the voices of the actors.
