New VR film “Mobile Suit Gundam: Phantom of Silver Ash” announced

The upcoming VR film "Mobile Suit Gundam: Phantom of Silver Ash" has revealed its key visual, trailer, plot, and details about some characters and mobile suits. The film can be pre-ordered from the Meta Quest Store starting July 6.

The story takes place in the year U.C. 0096. The protagonist is a pilot belonging to an unofficial mercenary organization called Argent Keel, which operates independently from the Federation and Zeon. This organization is tasked with assassinating Azami Megine, a Federation agent cooperating with Zeon. Just before they can carry out their mission, however, they are attacked by a Jegan unit from the Federation. Amid this chaos, Argent Keel deploys a silver Gundam into space.

The newly revealed characters include the protagonist and two other pilots from Argent Keel:

- Protagonist - A former Federation soldier who joins Argent Keel after being rescued by Bavia during a battle.

- Bavia Rena - Once a war orphan, she was raised by Mabel and has grown into a lively individual. She is a talented pilot and deeply values her adoptive mother.

- Mabel Rena - At 41 years old, she is an experienced pilot who protects her adoptive daughter Bavia. Mabel is a reliable leader with a strong presence and also serves as a mission planner.
