New "Wataru" series anime "Mashin Sousei Monogatari Wataru" announced

"Mashin Sousei Monogatari Wataru" will continue the legacy of the original protagonist Wataru Ikusabe, with a new savior taking the lead. The original series "Mashin Hero Wataru," which premiered on April 15, 1988, follows the story of Wataru Ikusabe, a spirited fourth-grader with a strong sense of justice. He is transported to another world and becomes the savior of Mount Soukai to fight against the evil Emperor Doakuder. The series spanned 45 episodes and was followed by two additional TV series and a web anime, culminating in a special theatrical edition with new scenes.
