Current visual and acoustic insights are now available for Niwatori Fighter (English: Chicken Fighter). As part of the anime event Anime Expo 2025, a specially designed main visual as well as a second promotional video were presented. Additionally, further voice roles were announced.
The main visual, referred to as "Director's Cut Key Visual," shows the protagonists in a dynamic group formation. At the same time, the second promotional video offers the first glimpses into the voices of the main characters: Kenta Miyake as fighting rooster Keiji, Mariko Honda as hen Elizabeth, and Shiori Izawa as chick Piyoko. New additions include Tomotaka Ōno as Keisuke and Kōmyō Kanuka in the role of the mysterious being Morio.
The plot follows Keiji, a chicken fighting for survival in a world threatened by monstrous "Kijū." After one of these creatures kills his sister, he embarks on a campaign of revenge. The story is based on the work of the same name by Shu Sakuratani, which was initially published on the platform Comiplex and now appears in more than 50 countries. The tenth collected volume of the series recently hit the market.
The implementation for the moving image adaptation is directed by Daisuke Suzuki, while Hiroshi Seko is responsible for the script adaptation. The animation is produced by Studio Sanzigen. Joseph Chou serves as producer, with VIZ Media and HERO'S jointly overseeing the production.
