In the April issue of Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine, it was announced that Hiroshi Shiibashi will publish four brand-new chapters of his popular manga Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan (Nurarihyon no Mago). The new chapters, set to appear in the next issue of the magazine on April 19, mark the first new content for the manga in 11 years. The first story will focus on Rikuo during his elementary and middle school years.

The series tells the story of Rikuo Nura, a half-human, half-yokai protagonist who transforms into the future leader of the Nura Clan and commands over a hundred demons.

Originally, the series was published in 25 volumes between 2008 and 2012. Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan inspired two TV anime series in 2010 and 2011. Shiibashi is also the creator of Illegal Rare, Tsukumogami: Teito Jōhōbu Tokkenchobōin Serosero Nanashiki, and Yui Kamio Lets Loose. His latest work, Iwamoto-senpai no Suisen (Upperclassman Iwamoto's Recommendation), debuted in Ultra Jump in February 2022 and remains unfinished.
