The upcoming anime series "A Returner's Magic Should Be Special" recently released a promotional video on its official website, featuring the main character Desir Herman. This anime adaptation of the Korean webcomic by Wookjakga, known in Japanese as "Kikansha no Mahō wa Tokubetsu Desu," is set to premiere in October.



The anime's cast includes Takuma Terashima as Desir Herman, Sayumi Suzushiro as Romantica Eru, and Natsumi Fujiwara as Pram Schnaizer. The series is directed by Taishi Kawaguchi of Arvo Animation, with scripts written and supervised by Takamitsu Kouno. Character designs are handled by Hiromi Kato, with Eiji Iwase as art director, and additional credits for art assistance and design go to Masahiro Kama, Kazushige Kanehira, Akihiro Hirasawa, Yasuhiro Okumura, and Tomoyasu Fujise. The cinematographer is Hideki Imaizumi, and the music is composed by Kenta Higashiohji.

Other key staff members include Shōtarō Hashiguchi as prop master, Aiko Matsuyama as color key artist, Ryoko Kaneshige for editing, Takatoshi Hamano as sound director, and Yasumasa Koyama for sound effects. Sound production is handled by Magic Capsule, and FLOW will perform the opening song "Get Back."

The plot is described as follows: "In a time when the Shadow World has taken over and most of humanity has been wiped out, a group of six heroes attempts to save the world—and fails... But the magician Desir Herman gets a second chance when he opens his eyes and finds himself transported thirteen years into the past! Now, it's up to him to reunite his group and prevent the greatest catastrophe in human history!"
