In Episode 8 of "Okashi na Tensei," the story begins with a scene where Pas reveals his plan to create a reservoir for collecting rainwater. This reservoir would not only supply the land with water but also promote the growth of black locust trees, which are essential for honey production. Honey, Pas passionately explains, is a crucial ingredient for many sweets. With the help of his magic, Pas succeeds in excavating large portions of the land and creating the reservoir much faster than anyone expected.

However, his actions catch the attention of his father and Feuille, who are astonished by the massive changes to the landscape and slightly concerned. Despite the initial shock, the villagers are thrilled about the new reservoir and the promise of future honey production.

Amid these developments, Pas receives an unexpected letter from Count Retes, inviting him to a tea tasting. Suspicious of the count's intentions, he discusses it with Feuille. Both agree that the count is up to something, especially considering the previous negotiations Pas had with him.

The episode takes another turn when Lady Licorice, Pas' fiancée, arrives in the Morteln region. She informs Pas that due to certain circumstances, she will be staying with them indefinitely.
