The series "Omae wa Mada Gunma o Shiranai" by Hiroto Ida is receiving an adaptation as a light anime. The production titled "Reiwa version" will be released in January 2026.

The plot deals with the characteristics of the Gunma region in the western Kanto region. From the perspective of a high school student, cultural peculiarities and the intense connection of the inhabitants to their homeland are portrayed. The narrative style combines comedic elements with serious depiction.

The original web manga template was published between 2013 and 2019 on an online platform. The work has already been adapted multiple times, including as a live-action film and television series in 2017 and as an animation production in 2018.

The direction and serial concept of the light anime adaptation are handled by Tetsuya Tatami. The screenplay is designed by Emi Saito and Kohei Nakayama.
