"Omaegoto ki ga Maō ni Kateru to Omou na" ("You Think You Can Defeat the Demon Lord?") – anime adaptation with new material

An anime adaptation of the light novel series "Omaegoto ki ga Maō ni Kateru to Omou na" has been announced and is scheduled to premiere in 2026. The production is based on the story by kiki and follows the protagonist Flam, who possesses no special abilities. In a hopeless situation, he discovers a mysterious power called "Reversal" that allows him to turn his fate around. The plot is described as dark fantasy.

The key promotional visual and a main video have been released. The material offers insights into the series' visual design.

Additional voice cast members have been announced. Machico will play the role of Sera Ambilen, a nun with a strong sense of justice. Masakazu Morita will voice the cold-blooded adventurer Dain Finias, and Honoka Inoue will lend her voice to the sarcastic guild receptionist Ira Jerishin. Additionally, it has been confirmed that Kikuko Inoue will serve as the narrator.

The musical accompaniment consists of the opening theme "Liberator" by PassCode and the ending theme "I need" by Yuki Tanaka. The artists have commented on their involvement in the project.

The released promotional video begins with a line from the character Milkitto and includes the first audio samples of the character voices. A portion of the opening song is also heard. In addition to the main visual, separate illustrations of the characters Flam in slave attire and Milkitto in a maid uniform have been released.

The original novel is written by kiki and published by Micro Magazine. A manga adaptation by Jun Minakata is being serialized. The roles of Flam and Milkitto are voiced by Ayaka Nanase and Miku Itō, respectively.
