Luffy urges Momonosuke to prevent Onigashima from falling on the Flower Capital. Meanwhile, he intends to deal with Kaido himself. The message is heard across the island and boosts the fighting spirit of the samurai and the Straw Hats. The Queen and the King tell Zoro and Sanji that Luffy stands no chance against Kaido, the future Pirate King. However, the two Straw Hat pirates disagree and launch another attack.

The rooftop becomes the stage for the great battle between Luffy and Kaido. Kaido transforms into his hybrid form, and the two opponents clash with their enhanced Haki attacks. The shockwave generated by their collision is noticed by Inuarashi, who breaks away from Jack and transforms back into his Sulong form. Meanwhile, Nekomamushi also transforms and asks Perospero which side fortune will favor now.

Yamato initially wants to help Luffy but realizes his body has taken more damage than expected. Luffy asks Yamato to help Momonosuke instead. Momonosuke panics because he no longer remembers how to fly, but Yamato reassures him that dragons like him soar through the sky with the help of flame clouds. Momonosuke tries, and to everyone's delight, he creates his own clouds and ascends back into the sky.

Nekomamushi defeats Perospero with a swift attack, and Carrot & Co. arrive to congratulate him. Inuarashi also defeats Jack but fails to notice Orochi observing the battle nearby. Meanwhile, Kaido tells Luffy on the rooftop that he won’t defeat him and receives special treatment.
