The episode begins with a surprising encounter between Momonosuke and the colossal elephant Zounisha on the coast of Wano Country. Zounisha agrees to support Momonosuke in battle once the call is heard.

In Onigashima, Momonosuke discusses this strange encounter with Yamato. Despite Yamato's enthusiasm about Momonosuke's apparent destiny, Momonosuke is plagued by doubts. Since the crucial pages of the poneglyph story are missing from his father's logbook, he questions the decision to open Wano Country's borders. Ultimately, he decides against his father's will to keep his homeland isolated.

Elsewhere in the world, Franky intervenes at the last second, saving Zoro from a potentially fatal fall. However, Zoro does not respond to Franky's inquiries. At the same time, Izo confronts the CP0 agents in the castle. Although severely injured, he manages to neutralize Maha before succumbing to his wounds.

Nami, Zeus, Tama, and their animal allies find a quiet space to recover from the ongoing battles. Marco joins them, as he too needs a break from his struggles. While resting, they hear the Kid Pirates and the Heart Pirates celebrating their victory over Big Mom, though the festivities are occasionally interrupted by unsettling tremors.

Guernica receives a new mission directive from the Five Elders: the primary target is now Straw Hat Luffy, replacing the original target, Nico Robin. Though the order causes confusion, Guernica accepts it, as Luffy's constant challenges to the world's strongest could lead to unwanted complications for the Five Elders.

A brief lull in the chaos causes Orochi and Hiyori (or Komurasaki) to stumble. Komurasaki then plays music that unsettles Orochi. His suspicion grows, leading him to distance himself from her, but suddenly the floor collapses, burying him under the rubble. Komurasaki then incapacitates him with a seastone nail.

Elsewhere, Kaido learns of Big Mom's defeat and reacts emotionally, reminiscing about his earlier years with Linlin and the Rocks Pirates. In a drunken state, he breaks down in tears. This provokes Luffy, who attacks him in his Gear 4 - Snakeman form.

When he awakens, Orochi finds himself amidst the rubble, unable to use his powers. Komurasaki explains the effect of the seastone nail and reveals her true feelings to him, leaving Orochi stunned.

The episode culminates in an intense battle, with Luffy attacking Kaido using his Gum-Gum Hydra technique and declaring he won't stop until Kaido is defeated.
