In Episode 1120, the world is in turmoil following the assassination of King Cobra of Alabasta. Sabo of the Revolutionary Army escapes Mary Geoise after witnessing Cobra's murder and vows to deliver the king's final message to Monkey D. Luffy and Princess Vivi. At the same time, Vivi disappears, triggering a desperate search by Alabasta's guards.

Vivi encounters Wapol, the former king of the Drum Kingdom, who is also on the run after accidentally exposing the dark secrets of the government. Together, they hide on a ship to evade capture by the World Government and Cipher Pol agents. Wapol contacts Morgans, the president of the World Economy News Paper, offering him exclusive information in exchange for his escape.

In the Holy Land, the Five Elders meet with the enigmatic ruler Imu. They discuss the deployment of a powerful weapon, the Mother Flame, invented by Vegapunk, and select the Kingdom of Lulusia as a testing ground to suppress a rebellion and test the weapon's effectiveness. Imu also orders Vivi's capture.

Sabo arrives in Lulusia and informs the revolutionaries that he has been falsely accused of King Cobra's murder. As they plan their next move, an eerie shadow appears in the sky. Without warning, the Kingdom of Lulusia is annihilated by an unknown force from above, leaving Sabo and its inhabitants in shock.

Back at the Revolutionary Army's headquarters in the Kamabakka Kingdom, Sabo updates Dragon and Ivankov on the events in Mary Geoise. He reveals Imu's existence and describes the catastrophic destruction of Lulusia. They speculate about ancient weapons and consider the possibility that Imu is an immortal figure from the Void Century.

Elsewhere, the Holy Donquixote Mjosgard is executed by Figarland Garling, the commander of the Holy Knights, for defending the Fish-Men during the Reverie. This act serves as a sign of the ruling powers' harsh crackdown on any form of dissent.
