Bartholomew Kuma arrives and frees Bonney and Luffy from Saturn's grip by knocking the Elder away with a blow. This action gives the Straw Hat Crew the opportunity to escape. While Sanji brings Bonney to safety, Franky stays behind to evacuate Kuma.

In a touching scene, Bonney embraces her father, who in his current state cannot move or speak. She thanks him and shares that through his memories she learned the truth about his loving motives and sacrifices. She emphasizes that she will always see him as the most caring father.

Meanwhile, St. Saturn rises unharmed and begins to regenerate immediately. He confronts Vegapunk and explains that the island poses a threat because of its inhabitants – a keeper of knowledge, a member of a lost race, and the awakened "God".

Saturn orders the immediate destruction of Egghead and activates a Buster Call. The Marine fleet positions its cannons to raze the entire island to the ground, which poses a catastrophic threat to everyone present.
