Saint Jaygarcia Saturn gives the command for the complete destruction of Egghead and activates a Buster Call. The Marines evacuate the island, and the warships position themselves for the bombardment. Dr. Vegapunk appeals in vain to Saturn and Kizaru to revoke the command, and warns that the destruction of the island would set back the scientific progress of humanity by 100 years. Saturn remains unyielding and reveals that he has already ordered a ship that left the island earlier to be pursued and attacked, fearing that someone on board might have knowledge about the Void Century.

While the preparations for the attack are underway, the Straw Hat Pirates and their allies try to get to safety:

- Sanji sets out to rescue Vegapunk, while Nami and other groups rush to the agreed meeting point at the back entrance of the Labophase.
- Brook and Lilith move the Thousand Sunny towards the escape point using a creative method over frozen clouds.
- Zoro's fight with Lucci continues, which is why Jinbe sets out to support him.

The episode culminates in the beginning of the bombardment. The Marine ships open fire on the island. In a crucial scene, Saturn orders the Pacifistas to execute Bonney and the motionless Kuma. This dramatic confrontation, in which the clones of her own father target Bonney, forms the emotional climax of the episode.

The episode ends with a promising outlook for the next episode. A familiar rhythm, the so-called "Drums of Liberation," resound on Egghead. This strongly hints at the appearance of Monkey D. Luffy in his Gear Five transformation, which is associated with the legendary figure of Nika, the Warrior of Liberation (Sun God Nika).
