One Piece: The Sails Are Set Towards the Grand Line

March 10, 2026, marks a decisive turning point for the sailors of the Straw Hat Crew. On this date, the streaming provider Netflix will release the continuation of its live-action adaptation of the manga ONE PIECE.

The second season, subtitled "Into the Grand Line," significantly expands the narrative canvas. Instead of focusing on a single storyline, the journey encompasses multiple settings. The newly accessible footage shows the protagonists, among other places, on the icy island of Drum, the prehistoric landmass of Little Garden, and the infamous location of Loguetown. These places serve as the backdrop for the confrontation with the covertly operating villainous organization Baroque Works.

Parallel to the release of the film clips, the media provider initiated a comprehensive series of public meet-and-greets. Thirteen gatherings are planned worldwide, taking place before the regular broadcast. The assemblies span several continents. In East Asia, meetings are organized in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bangkok, Taguig, and Kaohsiung. Additionally, activities will take place in Mexico City, Los Angeles, Brussels, Paris, Milan, Cape Town, and Rio de Janeiro.

The presence of the cast members is scheduled for several of these events. In the Japanese capital, Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, and Taz Skylar are expected. It is the first encounter of its kind where the five main cast members appear together in the country.

Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the literary source material, conveyed a written message to the followers. In it, he evaluates the second season as a turning point. The rules established by the first season would be consciously overturned. Oda referred to the array of Devil Fruit users, the portrayal of giants not previously shown, and a further development of the visual effects.

Production responsibility is shared by Matt Owens and Joe Tracz as co-showrunners. The casting of the antagonists consists of Lera Abova as Miss All-Sunday, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, and Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday. The voice of the newly introduced reindeer hybrid Tony Tony Chopper is provided by Mikaela Hoover.
