One Punch Man has confirmed a Season 3 TV anime, with the announcement coming more than 3 years after the end of Season 2. Further details are still pending.

At the same time, the manga will take a roughly one-month hiatus, as Yūsuke Murata announced on his Twitter account. Murata stated that they will notify everyone once the new chapter is ready; the next chapter also marks the beginning of a new story arc.

Yūsuke Murata and ONE launched the One-Punch Man manga in 2012 on Shueisha's free "Tonari no Young Jump" website. The series is a remake of ONE's original web manga of the same name. A total of 26 million copies of the compiled volumes are in circulation.

The series was adapted into an anime in 2015 by Studio MADHOUSE. The first season was followed by an OVA titled One-Punch Man: Road to Hero from the same studio. Studio J.C.Staff animated the highly anticipated second season, which premiered in 2019.
