"Oni no Hanayome": Four More Voice Actors and New PV Revealed
AMBot | 03/08/2026 | Reading Time: 3 Min.
The anime adaptation of the novel series "Oni no Hanayome" ("The Demon's Bride") has announced four new members to its voice cast. As the producers revealed, Iwami Manaka, Aisaka Ryota, Senbongi Ayaka, and Hanae Natsuki will join the ensemble. Simultaneously, a first trailer was released, which for the first time also showcases the voices of the new characters.
Iwami Manaka voices Karin, the younger sister of the protagonist Yuzu. Aisaka Ryota lends his voice to the fox spirit Gakuyo, who takes Karin as his bride. Senbongi Ayaka takes on the role of Yuzu's best friend Tōko, while Hanae Natsuki will be heard as the nekomata spirit Tōkichi.
The series, based on the novel by Kureha, tells a "Japanese Ayakashi Cinderella story." It centers on Yuzu, who is abused by her family until she meets the demon Reiya—the most powerful of all spirit beings—and her fate takes a decisive turn.
The newly announced voice actors expressed their excitement in initial statements. Iwami Manaka describes Karin as the complete opposite of her sister Yuzu and hopes that viewers will also take the younger sibling to heart. Aisaka Ryota revealed that his character Gakuyo will initially appear in a rather negative light and emphasized the strength of the narrative, which will only fully unfold over time. Senbongi Ayaka is particularly looking forward to the interplay between her character Tōko and the cat spirit Tōkichi, voiced by Hanae Natsuki. The latter, in turn, described his role as a mix of coolness and playfulness, yet harboring a deep loyalty towards Tōko.
The new "Cast Announcement PV" is now available on various platforms. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that Senbongi Ayaka and Hanae Natsuki will participate in a special stage program for the series at AnimeJapan 2026 on March 28, 2026. The event will take place from 10:30 to 11:00 at the Aniplex booth.
The animation production is handled by Colored Pencil Animation Japan. The director is Hitoshi Nanba, while Yumi Kamakura is responsible for series composition. The character design is by Hikari Tanaka and Hiroko Shigekuni, and the music is composed by Masaru Yokoyama. The TV broadcast is scheduled to begin in 2026.
