The TV anime adaptation of Kureha's novel "Oni no Hanayome" (German: "Die Dämonenbraut"), announced for July 2026, has added three more main cast members. As revealed in a second "Cast Reveal PV" released on Saturday, Taito Ban, Nobunaga Shimazaki, and Aya Endō will join the ensemble.

Taito Ban voices the role of Takamichi Araki, who serves as secretary to Reiya Kiryuin. Nobunaga Shimazaki lends his voice to Ouga Kiyama, the future head of the Kiyama family, while Aya Endō is heard as Sakurako Kiyama, Ouga's sister and also Reiya's fiancée. The new trailer offers first glimpses into the respective character voices.

About the story: "Oni no Hanayome" is described as a "Japanese Ayakashi Cinderella story." High school student Yuzu Shinonome is oppressed by her own family until one day she encounters the demon Reiya Kiryuin—the ruler of all supernatural beings. This encounter completely turns her fate upside down.

Before the series premiere, an advance screening of the first episode will take place on June 29, 2026, at a theater in Tokyo. Following the screening, a talk event with the main voice actors Saori Hayami (Yuzu), Yūichirō Umehara (Reiya), Manaka Iwami (Karin), and Ryōta Ōsaka (Yōta) is planned.

Comments from the new voice actors in full:

Taito Ban (Takamichi Araki): "I have the honor of playing the role of Araki Takamichi, a demon who serves Reiya, the future head of the demon family. As Reiya's right-hand man, Takamichi handles his work perfectly and gently supports his bride Yuzu. But actually...! Look forward to this beautifully and sensitively told story of Ayakashi and bride."

Nobunaga Shimazaki (Ouga Kiyama): "Ouga comes from a distinguished house, so every word he speaks carries both an open and a hidden meaning. This made reading the original work and the script very exciting, as I imagined his inner world. You wouldn't know it from his appearance, but he is a character who has been through a lot. I would be happy if you watch the work and also think about his inner life."

Aya Endō (Sakurako Kiyama): "Due to her very striking appearance, she might seem unapproachable, but Sakurako is a lovable and sincere young woman. Her passionate, secret desires and feelings that she never gives up make up her charm. Strong presence, but an appearance like a delicate flower—that is Sakurako Kiyama! I look forward to the role."
