"Onigamiden - Legend of the Millennium Dragon" by Sony Entertainment was released on DVD and Blu-ray in Germany earlier this week.

The film, directed by Hirotsugu Kawasaki (known for works like Spriggan or Naruto the Movie), was animated by Studio Pierrot.

In Onigamiden, a 15-year-old boy travels 1200 years back in time and ends up in the Heian period, amidst a war between Oni (demons) and humans. The fantasy anime with a historical setting is based on the two-volume novel by Takafumi Takada.

The film is rated for ages 12 and up.
